Dear Christian Friends,
Thank you so very much for your continued prayers, financial support, and cards with the many words of encouragement. God’s people have a wonderful way of making us feel loved. It is easy to say “thank you,” but harder to let you folks know just how much your thoughtfulness is appreciated. In Hebrews 6:10, the Bible says, “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
The Lord is good. We are also thankful for the blessings of being married 40 years and rejoice in the ways we have been able to serve the Lord together.
In February, we were at our home church, Emmanuel Baptist Church, nearly three weeks in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. We were able to help minister on visitation. It is a joy to be their staff evangelist. Several souls have professed faith in Christ. Pray for them to grow.
“You have been such a blessing to us this week. We have truly enjoyed your preaching. We will miss you and will keep you and your wife in our daily prayers. Hope you had a wonderful birthday and enjoyed your special day! Thank you for everything this week.”
“Thank you so much for the preaching this week. It has reached my heart in a wonderful way. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.”
“Thank you so much for putting up with us all week. We love having you and can’t wait until next time.”
“I want you to know what a blessing your sermons have been to me.I really am sad that my wife and son are out of town as I know they would have felt the same.I also wanted you to know that I stopped at every stop sign on the way home tonight.:) When doing so I tried to apply every stop to something in my life and remind myself that it is as simple as stopping at the stop sign.Just stop -
“We cannot say how much your ministry has meant to us this past week. Thank you for going above and beyond. Thanks for calling with me and ministering to each member of my family. God has used you this week in more ways than you will know. Thanks for being such a godly example and such a good friend. May God bless you and Debbie and if the Lord should tarry we hope to have you again.”
Thank you for praying for Debbie. She has felt well enough to travel some with me this year. Currently, she is at home recovering so keep her in your prayers. Thanks!
In March, Pastor Elmer Cox was encouraged with the week of meetings held at Immanuel Baptist Church in Greencastle, Indiana. The meetings went well. We believe that, during the meetings, a good number of God’s people made some type of decision to have a closer walk with Jesus Christ.
We then made our way to Minnesota. On March 16, 2014, we were with Pastor Lance Ketchum at Shepherd’s Fold Baptist Church in Hutchinson, Minnesota. We had a great time as we worshiped the Lord together. God’s people were blessed and encouraged by the preaching of His Word.
On Wednesday, we made our way to New Lisbon, Wisconsin. We had a wonderful time with those dear folks. They were happy to have me there to preach God’s Word.
As you pray for us, pray for additional meetings as well as safety in travel. Pray and ask the Lord to lead us to the right churches with which we can perfect the saints, for the work of the ministry.
Please visit our new Web Site, and if we can be of help to your local church, feel free to get in touch with us. Our itinerary is online at http://www.evangelistnormanstevens.com for you convenience.
The meetings went really well with Pastor Ron Tobin at Tomah Baptist Church in Tomah, Wisconsin. The meetings were well attended and many of God’s people made decisions. On Thursday or Friday night, we had one lady receive Christ as her own personal Saviour for which we praise the Lord!
We had a four-
I spent a week with Pastor Jeff Silha at Bancroft Baptist Church in Bancroft, Wisconsin. God’s people responded well to all the messages. God did a marvelous work among His people, and His people were very kind and a great blessing to me.
The week of meetings went well with Pastor Nick Vance at Grace Baptist Church in Landrum, South Carolina. God’s people were excited about the meetings. Their eyes were opened, and life-
Again, thank you for praying for us. Thank you for being faithful to our ministry. We so much appreciate your financial support.
May the Lord richly bless each of you as you serve Him.
By God’s grace,
Norman and Debbie Stevens
